Jimmie Durham created an installation at Matt's Gallery and invited the public in as he worked, sang & talked.
Jimmie Durham is a Native American Indian activist and artist. His installation at Matt's Gallery was created from wood, rubbish and found materials. As he worked making the peice he invited the public in on weekends as he worked, sang cowboy songs and read American texts on Native American Indians.
Listen to an interview with him, members of the public and recordings of him singing and speaking whilst at work.
